If you are based in Malawi, Mozambique or Zimbabwe, APPLY NOW for an affordable 1-year course in basic/intermediate music at one of the Music Crossroads Academies (cities of Lilongwe, Maputo and Harare), due to start in April 2013.

Our Professional Certificate Program - Year 1 is open to everyone aged 18-30, with basic music knowledge (i.e. can play at least one instrument or sing).

You will have a chance to immerse yourself in an innovative learning program based on African and African-descendent music, offering an innovative curriculum, modern teaching methods lead by internationally trained teachers, and well equipped rehearsal rooms & Music Lab.

Some of the subjects to be covered are Harmony, Rhythmic/Melodic reading and writing, Improvisation, Ensemble Training, Music Styles & History, Master Classes, Modern/Traditional Instruments, Vocal Training, Rhythm & Body percussion…

The MC Academies program aims to provide young musicians with the skills they need for a career in music, as professional musicians, primary/secondary school teachers or to access higher music education.
