Are you passionate about music and ready to explore your talent? If you are based in Malawi, Mozambique or Zimbabwe, apply now for an affordable 1-year course in basic/intermediate music at one of the MC Academies (Lilongwe, Maputo and Harare), due to start in April 2013.

Our Professional Certificate Program - Year 1 is open to everyone aged 18-30, with basic music knowledge (i.e. can play at least one instrument or sing). MC Academy students will learn from an innovative curriculum, based on African and African-descendent music, with modern teaching methods, internationally trained teachers and well equipped rehearsal rooms & Music Labs.

Some of the subjects to be covered are Harmony, Rhythmic/Melodic reading and writing, Improvisation, Ensemble Training, Music Styles & History, Master Classes, Modern/Traditional Instruments, Vocal Training, Rhythm & Body percussion…

The program aims to help provide students with the skills they need for a career in music, as professional musicians, primary/secondary school teachers or to access higher music education.
