TOMORROW'S STARS. TODAY.
Every year, the Music Crossroads program sifts the best young talents out of the five Southern African countries, and brings them to the world stage.
By assisting selected artists and bands, Music Crossroads helps young musicians build sustainable musical careers, at home and abroad, offering them training in musical performance, songwriting and arrangement, as well as providing band management and information on music rights.
Provincial and National Festival winners gain access to studio recordings, concert engagements and a chance to compete in the InterRegional Festival (IRF).
Winners of the InterRegional Festivals receive as a part of their winning package: professional training, promotion and a CD production; followed by international performances and tours on major stages in Europe, North & South America and Asia.
MCI also acts as a musical bridge between the five African nations through cross-boarder collaborations and exchanges. Music Crossroads winners have the unique possibility to grow within their continent, spreading African music within Africa.
