Yvone is one of the three lead vocalists of the 2009 IRF winners NYALI - currently preparing for their 2010 European tour.

The band attended the 13th edition of the National Arts Council's Ngoma Awards last week in Lusaka, here Yvonne Mwale was presented with the award for Best Upcoming Female Artist!

Every year, Zambian fans vote for their favorite nominated artists in music, dance, visual arts and theatre categories for these awards ceremony.

Nyali and some other local artists also took the centre stage to spice up the event, and delighted fans with their live performances.

Last month, the seven band members did their first training sessions with Music Crossroads Promotion and Touring officer Poney Gross, and renowned Zambian guitar player Sir Jones. Their next training sessions are scheduled for early January.

Nyali is building on their electrifying blend of Afro fusion and indigenous sounds, and unifying their live show for their European tour which will take place from 22nd May to 3rd August 2010.
