On the 19 June 2010, the best up and coming performers from all across Tanzania battled it out at the Makumbusho Cultural Center, for the chance to represent the country at the upcoming Music Crossroads Interregional Festival this July at the TaSUBa amphitheater in Bagamoyo. 

From hard hip-hop, to smooth R'n' B ballads, to energetic traditional groups and to groovy afro-fusion bands, the Music Crossroads Tanzania National Finals had it all. The five hour concert had the audience at times singing along with the contestants and dancing to music. 

As the five-panel judges sat to add up their marks and confer, Nyota Kali, 2009 IRF representatives, brought the audience and contestants to their feet again to dance along to their catchy rhythms. 

Finally, the time came for the winners to be announced - TWETULOBO (Dar es Salaam) and LUMUMBA THEATRE (Dar es Salaam). Both bands have been selected to represent Tanzania at the 2010 InterRegional Festival (16-18 July) and will hit the stage again in hope of winning the grand prize - 6 week tour of europe and a recording contract.
